4to., original red publisher’s boards, backstrip lettered in blue, with publisher’s device to foot; together in the original unclipped dust jacket (£30.00), featuring a wonderful picture of the hogwarts express; pp. [viii], 1-245, [iii]; a near fine copy; the dust jacket with tiny amounts of rubbing to the corners; two corners of the boards have minor compression. A nice copy.
 
First UK illustrated edition, with many sketches, drawings and illustrations by artist Jim Kay. He has signed his name without dedication to the title page. A copy in giftable condition.
