8vo., in the pictorial dust jacket showing a victim's head through the letter O in the title, clipped with a publisher's reprice sticker on the top of the inside flap; pp. [xi], 4-439; a tidy example, internally toned, with some vertical lines of toning to the end papers; the jacket in a better condition than is usually found, lightly faded to the spine and very light wear to the spine ends.
 
First UK edition. King's second published novel and a rarity as a UK first edition with undoubtably a small print run. A vampire novel involving a writer who returns to his home town only to find the residents are becoming creatures of the night. Like many of the author's novels, its been given the small and big screen treatment. It was turned into a miniseries in 1979 and 2004. A film is slated to be released in 2024. 
 
A very good copy of this classic work of horror fiction and a better copy than is usually found.
